Engine Range
The stunning S60 will be available with a choice of two diesels and one petrol engine; all which meet the demand of a sporty, dynamic drive experience with competitive fuel consumption.
The two five-cylinder turbo diesels enable acceleration from 0-62mph in only 7.8 seconds (both manual and automatic) and the top speed is 146mph (manual) and 143mph (automatic). This engine combines high performance with lower fuel consumption.
There is also a newly-developed 2.0-litre D3 engine offering acceleration from 0-62mph in a mere 9.2 seconds (manual and automatic) and with a top speed of 137mph (manual) and 134mph (automatic).
Both turbo diesels are available with six-speed manual gearbox as standard or optional six-speed automatic transmission.
The high-performance T6 petrol engine accelerates from 0-62mph in an amazing 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph. The engine specialists have even succeeded in cutting fuel consumption by 10%. The engine’s power is delivered to the wheels using Volvo’s second-generation six-speed automatic Geartronic transmission.
During the first year of production a DRIVe version will be introduced, featuring a 1.6 litre diesel engine and an impressive fuel consumption figure of 65.7mpg (EU combined, preliminary figure) which means CO2 emissions below 115g/km (approx.).
Later on in production the all-new S60 will also be available with a 2.0 GTDi variant (T5) and two versions of a 1.6 litre GTDi engine.
