Dynamic Chassis
The new generation S60 is by far the sportiest Volvo ever built and the chassis team worked to refine every aspect of the car to enhance the driving experience.
As a result the newly-developed Dynamic chassis will be standard on every new Volvo S60 and is supported by a range of electronic systems that sharpen the sporty driving experience including the new Corner Traction Control feature which allows the driver to take corners more smoothly.
In addition, the S60 is the first saloon with Volvo’s Advanced Stability Control which identifies any potential skidding tendencies early on allowing the anti-skid system to take action earlier and with greater precision.
A highly advanced braking system which uses a combination of a number of features, including Ready Alert Brakes and Fading Brake Support, that interact to provide the shortest possible stopping distance, will also be integrated into the model.
For even better control and comfort, the new S60 can be fitted with the advanced, self adjusting FOUR-C active chassis which, using a number of sensors, continuously monitors the car’s behaviour. With three alternative chassis settings, the driver can alternate between Comfort, Sport and Advanced at the touch of a button.
All in all, the new chassis provides a better balance between comfort and dynamic control.
